Gelombang pertama peranti-peranti 5G dijangkakan akan tiba melalui peranti-peranti premium. Hal ini tidak membuatkan MediaTek mengabaikan telefon bimbit bajet untuk turut sama dilengkapi dengan teknologi telekomunikasi terbaru berkenaan.<\/p>\n

Baru-baru ini MediaTek telah mengumumkan SoC serasi 5G terbarunya yang menawarkan prestasi sederhana untuk membolehkan peranti berspesifikasi bajet mendapat sambungan 5G.<\/p>\n

Cipset yang berintegrasi dengan sambungan 5G ini menggabungkan modem MediaTek M70 5G dengan CPU Cortex-A77 dan GPU Mali-G77.<\/p>\n

Perkakasan MediaTek seringkali digunapakai pada peranti-peranti berspesifikasi rendah seperti Nokia 5.1 Plus\/X5 dan Oppo R15, yang lebih mementingkan ciri penjimatan kos. Cip 7-nanometer ini diharapkan mampu menawarkan gabungan antara kecekapan dan kelajuan kuasa yang baik. Keluaran pertama cipset dijadualkan pada awal tahun 2020.<\/p>\n

Memandangkan kesukaran yang kini dihadapi oleh syarikat-syarikat yang menghasilkan perkakasan 5G, kegigihan MediaTek mewujudkan perkakasan teknologi komunikasi generasi terbaru ini amat dialu-alukan. Buat masa ini, Qualcomm antara pengeluar teknologi 5G yang boleh diharapkan, dengan Samsung sekadar mengeluarkan modem 5G. Intel pula baru-baru ini telah ‘angkat kaki’ dari perlumbaan 5G ini. Manakala Huawei pula kini sedang dirundung nasib malang selepas dikenakan sekatan oleh pentadbiran Presiden Trump. MediaTek mungkin menjadi pilihan bagi banyak syarikat yang tidak boleh, atau tidak memilih untuk teknologi Qualcomm.<\/p>\n

Justeru, dengan adanya MediaTek sekurang-kurangnya industri pembuatan 5G tidak dimonopoli oleh satu syarikat sahaja di dunia ini.<\/p>\n
