Jika prob berkenaan berjaya mendarat, ia ditugaskan untuk menjalankan beberapa ujikaji saintifik.<\/p>\n<p>Antaranya termasuklah mengukur gelombang magnetik setempat di Bulan menggunakan magnetometer dan juga mengukur jarak antara Bumi dan Bulan menggunakan <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/feature\/private-moon-lander-with-nasa-science-aboard-may-soon-touch-down-on-surface\">tatasusunan laser retroreflektor buatan NASA<\/a><\/strong><\/span>. Selain itu, prob berkenaan turut membawakan salinan Wikipedia berbahasa Inggeris, peranti boleh pakai Rosetta Disk, kitab Taurat, lukisan kanak-kanak, memoir mangsa terselamat Holocaust dan lain-lain.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Kerjasama dengan SpaceX<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Roket <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/02\/21\/science\/spacex-launch-israel.html\">SpaceX Falcon 9<\/a><\/strong><\/span> telah melancarkan prob angkasa lepas Beresheet ke orbit tinggi Bumi pada 22 Februari lepas. Bulan-bulan berikutnya ia bergerak secara beransur-ansur ke dalam orbit Bulan dan disasarkan mendarat di bahagian hemisfera utara.<\/p>\n<p>Teknik yang digunakan sepanjang misi ini adalah diluar kebiasaan kerana direka bagi tujuan penjimatan bahan api. Sebaik sahaja jika ianya mendarat, prob berkenaan mampu digunakan untuk beberapa hari berikutnya.<\/p>\n<p>Pun begitu, sewaktu hampir menuju matlamatnya, enjinnya telah berhenti secara tiba-tiba. Pusat kawalan telah berjaya menghidupkannya semula dengan melakukan reset pada sistemnya.<\/p>\n<p>Namun, prob berkenaan telah kehilangan terlalu banyak altitude dan hingga menyebabkan ianya hilang kawalan. Berdasarkan nilai telemetri terakhirnya, prob berkenaan telah terhempas ke permukaan pada kelajuan lebih kurang 482 km\/j secara menegak.<\/p>\n<p>Sungguhpun telah terhempas, percubaan dari SpaceIL ini dianggap sebagai satu kejayaan.
