Berkemungkinan besar, pihak Google berhasrat ingin menambahkan lagi bilangan tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Bussiness Insider, penambahan bilangan jawatan jurutera tersebut seiring dengan matlamat Google yang ingin menghasilkan cipnya sendiri untuk peranti-perantinya.<\/p>\n<p>Tambah Bussiness Insider lagi, Google merupakan antara gergasi syarikat internet pertama yang melabur di Bengaluru. Sejak dua dekad kebelakangan ini, bandaraya Bengaluru menjadi hub peneraju pembangunan rekabentuk semikonduktor dan telah menarik minat pelaburan oleh pengeluar-pengeluar cip terkemuka dunia.<\/p>\n<p>Sebelum ini, Google pernah menghasilkan rekaan cip pelayan (server) untuk kegunaan pusat-pusat datanya dan juga cip pemprosesan imej untuk digunakan pada telefon pintar Pixel. Kini, gergasi enjin carian ini sedang berkembang dan berhasrat menghasilkan cip yang lebih berkuasa dan lebih cekap. Pada kebiasaannya, pengubahsuaian pada cip untuk kegunaan spesifik peranti hanya boleh dilakukan oleh pengeluar seperti Intel dan Qualcomm.<\/p>\n<p>Untuk mencapai hasrat itu, Google dilaporkan telah berjaya mendapatkan khidmat kepakaran sekurang-kurangnya 16 orang veteran industri kejuruteraan pembuatan cip. Serta empat orang lagi pencari bakat dari pengeluar-pengeluar cip seperti\u00a0Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom dan Nvidia. Pengambilan jawatan baru ini bakal diserapkan ke dalam pasukan gerak kerja yang dinamakan sebagai &#8216;gChips&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft, Facebook dan Amazon masing-masing telah pun melancarkan usaha menghasilkan rekaan cip sendiri. Bagaimanapun, Microsoft dan Facebook mendapatkan tenaga kepakaran di dalam Amerika Syarikat. Manakala Amazon pula mendapatkannya di Tel Aviv, Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Apple juga menghasilkan rekaannya sendiri khusus untuk kegunaan iPhone dan iPad. Malah, turut dilaporkan akan mengembangkannya pada MacBook juga.<\/p>\n<p>Berkemungkinan besar, cip-cip yang dihasilkan oleh Google ini tidak digunakan pada telefon-telefon pintar keluarannya. Mungkin ianya bakal digunakan pada aplikasi-aplikasi kecerdasan buatan dan pembelajaran mesin.
