Untuk makluman, bateri yang dibangunkan ini bukanlah bateri solid state pertama.&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/article\/2973483\/sustainable-it\/samsung-mit-say-their-solid-state-batteries-could-last-a-lifetime.html\">Samsung&nbsp;dan MIT<\/a>&nbsp;<span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;\">terlebih dahulu telah&nbsp;membangunkan teknologi bateri terbaru berkenaan pada tahun lepas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;\">Kumpulan penyelidik ini menyatakan bateri solid state ini dapat menyelesaikan beberapa masalah berkaitan bateri Li-ion, terutamanya hal berkaitan keselamatan. Sebagai contoh, Samsung sebelum ini terpaksa untuk memanggil semula kesemua Galaxy Note 7 disebabkan masalah baterinya yang mudah terbakar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;\">Litar pintas yang berlaku pada bateri Note 7 ini didakwa berpunca dari kesilapan ketika proses pengeluarannya. Selain itu terdapat juga masalah lain yang boleh menyebabkan kebakaran seperti pembentukan lapisan logam yang digelar sebagai &#8220;dendrites&#8221;. Ia terbentuk hingga mampu menembusi penghadang elektrolit yang mengasingkan bahagian katod dan anod bateri. Oleh yang demikian, penghasilan bateri berasaskan solid state ini mampu mencegah pembentukan &#8220;dendrites&#8221; ini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;\">Berdasarkan ujian-ujian yang telah dijalankan, bateri yang berasaskan solid state ini mempunyai ketumpatan tenaga hampir tiga kali ganda berbanding bateri konvensional lithium-ion. Ini sangat penting kerana secara teorinya bateri ini mampu menyimpan tenaga tiga kali ganda pada saiz yang sama. Penyelidik berkenaan turut mendakwa bateri jenis ini mampu digunakan sehingga lebih dari 1,200 kitaran dengan kerintangan sel yang rendah. Sel-sel ini juga mampu dioperasikan pada suhu -20 darjah selsius.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;\">Perkembangan ini menjanjikan perubahan terbaru dalam teknologi penghasilan bateri peranti mudah alih yang selama ini dilihat terlalu perlahan berbanding perkembangan teknologi pada perkakasan peranti mudah alih
