Bagaimanapun, had\u00a0operasi baca dan tulis cip memori kebanyakan pemacu USB masih lagi boleh menampung tahap penggunaan\u00a0biasa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Selalunya, benda yang jadi punca kerosakan pemacu flash USB adalah komponen-komponen lain yang melengkapi peranti berkenaan. Bahagian penyambung logam boleh rosak akibat pemakaian yang terlalu kerap atau mengalami kerosakan fizikal akibat kemek, diketuk atau sebagainya. Bila penyambung ini rosak, komputer tidak dapat mengesan sama ada pemacu USB berkenaan bersambung dengan komputer atau tidak.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Kegagalan Komponen-Komponen Elektronik<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Selain dari menempatkan cip-cip memori flash, papan litar di dalam pemacu USB turut dilengkapi dengan komponen-komponen lain seperti kapasitor, perintang, pengayun dan sebagainya. Kejadian pusuan kuasa (power surge) boleh menyebabkan berlaku litar pintas dan boleh menyebabkan komponen elektronik berkenaan rosak hingga membuatkan pemacu flash USB gagal berfungsi.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Kegagalan Memori NAND<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sebagaimana yang diterangkan pada awal perenggan artikel ini, memang bila tiba masanya, memori NAND pada pemacu USB akan rosak jua akhirnya. Pada kebiasaannya, ia rosak setelah bertahun-tahun digunakan dan telah mencapai had maksimum keupayaan operasi baca dan tulis.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Kesimpulan<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Menyimpan data-data atau fail-fail penting pada pemacu flash USB untuk jangka masa panjang bukanlah sesuatu yang bagus untuk dilakukan.
