Sesetengah komponen penyejukan cip pemprosesan pihak ketiga ini didapati mengenakan tekanan fizikal yang berlebihan terhadap cip pemprosesan Skylake sehingga menyebabkan ia membengkok dan seseterusnya merosakkan pemproses dan soketnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Terdahulu, Intel tidak menyatakan secara jelas bahawa\u00a0Skylake secara fizikalnya memiliki substrat yang\u00a0lebih nipis berbanding pemproses-pemproses yang terdahulu melalui iklan-iklannya. Hanya segelintir pihak yang benar-benar maklum tentang ketebalan sebenar pemprosesan ini. Itu pun setelah ianya diwar-warkan oleh laman web teknologi yang berpangkalan di Jerman.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Maklumat tentang berapa tebal pemproses ini mampu mendatangkan kesan yang besar kerana ia disyaki lebih mudah mengalami kerosakan yang diakibatkan oleh faktor ukuran ketebalannya yang lebih nipis berbanding pemproses-pemproses lain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Intel mendakwa Skylake memiliki beban muatan statik maksima 50 lbs (22.68 kg), sama seperti pemproses-pemproses generasi terdahulu.
