Kod ini bertujuan untuk menyokong rangka kerja pengawalseliaan bagi penyedia perkhidmatan tersebut dengan menggariskan amalan terbaik dalam menangani kandungan dalam talian yang berbahaya serta keperluan tingkah laku lain yang berkaitan.<\/p>\n<p>Kod Tatakelakuan ini memberi penekanan terhadap keselamatan dan sekuriti dalam talian, terutamanya untuk kanak-kanak dan golongan-golongan rentan. Ia juga merangkumi keperluan tingkah laku yang relevan untuk penyedia perkhidmatan internet dan media sosial.<\/p>\n<p>Platform media sosial dan permesejan internet yang beroperasi di Malaysia perlu memohon lesen di bawah Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998. Peraturan baharu ini akan dikuatkuasakan sepenuhnya mulai <strong>1 Januari 2025<\/strong>. Platform yang gagal mematuhi akan dikenakan tindakan undang-undang.<\/p>\n<p>Platform dengan sekurang-kurangnya 8 juta pengguna di Malaysia seperti <strong>Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat, X, dan YouTube <\/strong>dikehendaki memohon lesen.<\/p>\n<p>Jika didapati tidak mematuhi peraturan baharu tersebut, platform boleh dikenakan denda sehingga <strong>RM500,000<\/strong> atau penjara sehingga 5 tahun, atau kedua-duanya. Selain itu, denda tambahan <strong>RM1,000<\/strong> setiap hari akan dikenakan jika kesalahan berterusan selepas sabitan. Langkah pelesenan ini akan meningkatkan tanggungjawab platform dalam pengurusan kandungan dan memastikan pematuhan undang-undang negara.<\/p>\n<p>SKMM berharap dapat mewujudkan persekitaran digital yang lebih selamat dan bertanggungjawab di Malaysia.
