Para penyelidik di IBM telah menemukan cara untuk menggerakkan elektron-elektron pada tiub karbon nano\u00a0(carbon nanotube).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Struktruk tiub\u00a0karbon nano merupakan struktur yang 10,000 kali ganda lebih halus dari sehelai rambut manusia dan juga konduktor elektrik yang bagus. Pencapaian IBM pada Khamis minggu lalu ini telah menemukan cara untuk menggabungkan logam-logam tertentu pada tahap sebezar zarah\u00a0untuk menghasilkan\u00a0titik sentuh halus yang boleh digunakan untuk menggerakkan elektron-elektron melalui tiub karbon nano tanpa memberikan kesan terhadap prestasi cip.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para penyelidik turut membayangkan industri pembuatan cip bakal menggunakan teknologi tiub karbon nano ini menggantikan cip yang berasaskan transistor-transistor silicon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Melalui penggunaan teknologi ini, transistor-transistor di dalam sebuah cip akan disusun rapat-rapat sehingga jarak antara satu sama lain transistor mencapai 3 nanometer. Buat masa ini, pemproses paling canggih memiliki jarak antarak transistornya pada ukuran di antara 14 hingga 11 nanometer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Terdahulu, awal tahun ini IBM menyatakan bahawa cip keluaran mereka bakal mempunyai jarak antara transistor pada ukuran 7 nanometer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Berdasarkan Hukum Moore, industri pembuatan mikropemprosesan semakin berkembang dari tahun ke tahun.
