Kementerian Pengangkutan dan Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) telah mengumumkan standard nombor plat baharu yang dikenali sebagai JPJePlate. Ia kini sedang dilaksanakan dalam fasa rintis dengan mula digunakan pada kenderaan-kenderaan elektrik (electric vehicle, EV) bermula dari hari ini, 9 September 2024.<\/p>\n

Menerusi laman web khususnya, JPJePlate dinyatakan mempunyai beberapa kelebihan berbanding nombor plat biasa yang sedang digunakan pakai sekarang. Malaysia pada ketika ini merupakan antara 5% dari kalangan negara-negara yang masih lagi menggunakannya.<\/p>\n

Antara kelebihan nombor plat JPJePlate ini, ia lebih tahan lama dan lebih jelas kelihatan dengan ciri-ciri anti pemalsuan seperti tandatangan digital melalui QR. Ia juga mempunyai skru satu hala bagi mengelakkan kecurian.<\/p>\n

Lain-lain ciri yang terdapat pada nombor plat jenis baharu ini termasuklah bendera Malaysia dengan singkatan MAL pada sebelah kiri. Bahagian ini juga mempunyai kod warna yang menunjukkan jenis bahan api yang digunakan oleh kenderaan tersebut seperti hijau untuk EV.<\/p>\n

Di dalam halaman soalan-soalan lazimnya<\/a><\/strong>, JPJePlate dinyatakan akan diwajibkan untuk semua EV termasuk yang dikuasakan oleh sel-sel bahan api hidrogen. Setakat ini tiada tarikh akhir bagi pengguna yang mendapat EV masing-masing sebelum tarikh 9 September. Turut dinyatakan ia akan diperluaskan ke kenderaan-kenderaan jenis lain yang akan diumumkan kelak.\"\"<\/p>\n

Buat masa ini pemasangan nombor plat baharu ini untuk kenderaan jenis pembakaran dalaman (petrol dan diesel) tidak diwajibkan. Bagi pengguna yang berminat untuk memasang JPJePlate pada kenderaan masing-masing, anda boleh membuat pendaftaran minat menerusi laman web rasminya<\/a><\/strong>.
