Teknologi storan terbaru ini menjadikan storan keluaran mereka lebih tumpat, lebih lasak dan lebih pantas berbanding teknologi sedia ada. Dalam <a href=\"https:\/\/intel-micron-webcast.intel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">satu ucaptama semalam<\/a>, pihak Intel dan Micron menyatakan bahawa storan dengan teknologi baharu ini sudah mula dihasilkan untuk pasaran.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Melalui penggunaan teknologi 3D Xpoint (kategori baharu untuk memori tidak meruap, non-volatile memory), ia menjadikan storan 1,000 kali ganda lebih pantas dari kad-kad memori kilat (<em>flash memory<\/em>) dan pemacu keadaan pepejal (solid state drive) sedia ada yang menggunakan teknologi senibina NAND.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tanpa menggunakan transistor, senibina baharu ini bergantung kepada perubahan sifat bahan pukal (<em>bulk material property change<\/em>) untuk mengubah bit dari keadaan kerintangan rendah ke kerintangan tinggi.
