Kini, terdapat satu lagi medium penghantaran Internet terbaru yang bakal digunakan oleh Facebook untuk menyediakan akses Internet secara percuma, LASER.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Itu merupakan sebahagian dari perancangan Mark Zuckerberg. Matlamatnya adalah untuk memberikan setiap insan di muka bumi ini akses ke Internet, baik penduduk di\u00a0Silicon Valley\u00a0hinggalah kepada penduduk yang tinggal di kawasan pedalaman.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sambungan ke kawasan pedalaman ini tentunya bakal berdepan dengan cabaran yang amat besar. Jangankan nak dapat Internet, elektrik pun susah nak dapat. Oleh itu, firma-firma teknologi seperti Facebook dan Google perlu kreatif untuk menyediakan kemudahan internet kepada penduduk-penduduk di kawasan ini.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tahun lalu, Facebook telah mendapatkan\u00a0khidmat sebuah pasukan yang berpangkalan di Ascenta, United Kingdom yang sebelum ini telah membangunkan\u00a0versi awal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/technology\/11225580\/See-the-solar-powered-drone-that-can-stay-in-the-air-indefinitely.html\" target=\"_blank\">Zephyr<\/a> (sebuah pesawat tanpa juruterbang berkuasa solar yang mampu terbang untuk satu tempoh yang amat panjang). Pada persidangan pembangun-pembangun Facebook, f8 awal tahun ini, Mike Schroepfer, Ketua Pengarah Teknologi\u00a0Facebook telah mengumumkan pesawat dron berkuasa solarnya yang pertama untuk digunakan memancarkan akses Internet kepada orang ramai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Usaha memberikan akses Internet percuma kepada pengguna ini tidak terhad kepada Facebook sahaja. Google juga turut serta di dalam program seumpama ini.
