Ia lebih perlahan dan lebih murah jika dibandingkan dengan SSD. Storan eMMC ini lebih mirip dengan kad SD, di mana ia secara teknikalnya, binaannya sama dengan peranti storan lain yang menggunakan teknologi memori flash.<\/h4>\n<h3>Pemacu USB dan Kad SD mengandungi Memori Flash, tapi..<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Memori flash &#8211; atau biasa yang digunakan, memori flash NAND &#8211; sering diketemukan pada pemacu USB flash dan juga pada hampir kesemua jenis kad SD yang boleh diperoleh di pasaran hari ini. Pemacu USB flash mengandungi cip memori flash pada papan litar bercetaknya (PCB, Printed Circuit Boards) selain dari litar kawalan dan antaramuka USBnya. Ia direkabentuk sedemikian rupa kerana untuk menjadikannya semurah mungkin. Lagipun, kelajuan kad-kad SD ini yang terdapat dipasaran dikategorikan mengikut kelajuan-kelajuannya yang tertentu. Untuk itu, adalah dinasihatkan supaya jangan memasang sebarang sistem operasi pada kad SD yang jenis perlahan.<\/p>\n<h3>Solid-State Drive adalah lebih sofistikated<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Walaupun SSD memiliki ciri binaan yang hampir serupa dengan storan memori flash, namun ia dibezakan dengan penggunaan lebih banyak cip memori flash NAND dan juga cip-cip yang digunakan untuk membuatnya juga lebih bermutu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SSD juga dilengkapi dengan kawalan yang disokong oleh firmware yang membolehkannya memiliki ciri-ciri yang lebih canggih. Sebagai contoh, pengawal SSD mengagihkan operasi baca tulis ke seluruh cip-cip memori di dalam SSD dan ini membuatkan kelajuannya tidak hanya bergantung kepada satu-satu cip itu semata-mata. Lagipun, antaramuka SSD yang menghubungkannya dengan papan induk merupakan jenis yang terpantas buat masa ini, seperti SATA 3, mSATA dan SATA Express.<\/p>\n<h3>Tentang eMMC pula<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MMC adalah singkatan kepada MultiMediaCard dan ia adalah sama seperti SD Card. Cuma kad SD ini adalah versi penambahbaikan dari MMC. Oleh itu, tidak menghairankan jika sudah tidak banyak peranti yang menyediakan slot yang menempatkan MMC kerana ia sudah digantikan dengan kad SD. Bagaimanapun, eMMC bukanlah storan yang dianggap sudah ketinggalan zaman. Cuma perkembangan teknologinya untuk MMC sudah terbantut dan lebih tertumpu kepada eMMC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Huruf e pada eMMC mewakili perkataan embedded (terbenam) untuk MMC. Secara asasnya, ia adalah MMC yang telah dibenamkan bersama-sama papan induk peranti. Ia berperanan menyediakan altenatif storan yang lebih murah untuk kegunaan peranti-peranti mudah alih masa kini.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ia turut dilengkapi dengan pengawal yang membolehkannya boleh menjalankan sistem operasi seperti Android dan Windows dan ChromeOS pada tablet-tablet bajet. Bagaimanapun, disebabkan ia bukan dibina dengan cip berkualiti tinggi dan antaramuka yang lebih pantas seperti SSD, prestasi peranti yang menggunakannya adalah lebih perlahan.<\/p>\n<h3>eMMC, pilihan sederhana yang lebih murah<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Walaupun dari segi prestasinya eMMC adalah lebih perlahan, namun ia tetap masih boleh digunakan dengan baik pada peranti-peranti biasa.
