Antara usaha yang dilakukannya termasuklah strategi pemilikan syarikat-syarikat permainan berkomputer di seluruh dunia.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Reuters, konglomerat ini kini dilaporkan sedang &#8220;mencari dengan agresif&#8221; untuk memiliki saham majoriti atau yang boleh dikawal syarikat-syarikat permainan video di seluruh dunia. Selama ini Tencent hanya sekadar melabur di dalam saham-saham kecil dan hanya sekadar pelabur kewangan pasif.<\/p>\n<p>Tencent buat masa ini sudah pun menjadi syarikat permainan video terbesar dunia berdasarkan pendapatannya. Ia kini membuat pelaburan di lebih dari 800 buah syarikat termasuk 40% pegangan di dalam Epic Games. Selain itu, pegangan sahamnya juga turut berada di Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, Krafton, PlatinumGames, FromSoftware dan Marvelous Inc.<\/p>\n<p>Setakat ini Tencent telah membuat pemerolehan syarikat-syarikat seperti Funcom, Riot Games, Sumo, Turtle Rock, Digital Extremes dan Splash Damage.
